    The second-last day of COP27 at the Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt marked by more protests as climate activists called on leaders and delegates attending the conference to declare a climate emergency to end fossil fuels.

    They express disappoint that global North was not committed to ending fossil fuels. Jose Aaron Jr Pedrosa from the Philippines says this is the abandonment of the commitment made by rich nations. This means expansion to fossil gas and other dirty fuels energy. He says there should be a rapid and equitable just transition now.
