Kenyatta national hospital acting ceo dr. Richard lesiyampe has decried congestion at the medical facility which he blames on the strike by health workers from nairobi county. Dr. Lesiyampe says knh is stretched as it is receiving at least 100 expectant mothers on a daily basis compared to their capacity to handle 40 expectant mothers. He has urged the county government to resolve the issues saying it poses a danger to maternal mortality. Nairobi county on wednesday signed a return to work agreement with five of the six health workers unions whose members have been on strike since december.
