Hundreds of residents living near Malaba and Malakisi rivers in North Teso sub-county Busia County, are counting losses after their homes and crops were washed away by floods following heavy rains pounding the area. Area leaders are requesting for emergency assistance from the national government and well wishers, even as they urge the residents to relocate to safer areas.
