MPS and Governors oppose mandatory online procurement

Showdown is brewing between the Executive, the Council of Governors, and the Legislature over the rollout of the Electronic Government Procurement System, or E-GP. Governors argue that the system has slowed down county operations and want it phased in gradually, while the National Assembly has outrightly opposed it, calling it illegal and a violation of the Public Procurement Act. Parliament has even ordered its annulment, but the Treasury insists there will be no retreat, no surrender
