SHA Bottlenecks: Tumutumu Hospital demands payment of over Ksh200M in arrears

Provision of health services at the Tumutumu Mission Hospital in Nyeri may soon grind to a halt due to slow disbursement of funds by the Social Health Authority (SHA). Part of the debt is Sh 148 million worth of claims that are yet to be settled by SHA, while the remaining Sh 89 million are arrears inherited from the now defunct National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF).
