Kenya is on course to ensure it fully exploits geothermal steam to produce power. Speaking in Nakuru during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Menengai Geothermal Power Station ,Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua says the country is on track to meet its power demand and reduce the cost of power in the country. The Menengai Geothermal Power plant is the third independent power producer in the country that will supply 35 Mega Watts to the national power grid upon its completion in May 2025.
