Residents of Egu Kalinga Village in Mackinnon Ward, Samburu Sub-County, are crying foul over imminent eviction from their ancestral land and are calling on President William Ruto to intervene to urgently resolve the five-decade-old land dispute involving a 10,190-acre ranch. The villagers want the land, formerly known as Duruma Group Ranch bordering the Tsavo East National Park, restored to the community after it was allegedly grabbed by a powerful chief who is now deceased.
