Central bank governor Dr Kamau Thugge has today defended The Finance Act 2023 saying that there will be little to no inflationary pressure on kenyans as a result of the new taxes passed. Thugge who was speaking during the bi-monthly monitory policy press briefing stated that the national treasury had put in place measure to counter increased taxes in fuel, housing and NHIF by reducing taxes on railway levy and imports
