NURSES’ STRIKE IN SIAYA SUSPENDED AFTER UNION, COUNTY REACH 30 DAY AGREEMENT
The nurses' strike that brought services at public health facilities to a halt in Siaya has been called off following an agreement between the Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN) and the county government. In an agreement signed between the union officials and the county government top brass, led by county secretary Joseph Ogutu, the nurses agreed to suspend their industrial action for 30 days to give the devolved unit time to address their grievances.
