The government has announced a new grading structure for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination (KCSE) beginning this year . Under the new system only two mandatory subjects and five other best performed subjects will be used by the Kenya National Examination Council-KNEC to compute results.This system is a departure from the past where candidates took five mandatory subjects. This move seeks to increase the number of those qualifying for universities, Diploma and TVET training.
