Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza on Wednesday made an appearance before the senate to defend herself following accusations of gross misconduct and violations that led to her impeachment. Mwangaza denied all the allegations leveled against her and instead argued that the war raged against her simply because of her gender. kawira was however moved to tears after video evidence depicting crude comments targeting her was played at the senate. The Senate has called for the impeachment of cabinet secretary Moses kuria following his x comments that appeared to suggest that the house was swayed to vote in a certain way.
