Standard Media Group employees have gone without pay for 10 months

The Kenya Union of Journalists has called attention to what it terms the infringement of rights of workers at the standard group limited plc. Kuj says the media group's staff have gone unpaid for months, with the journalist’s union issuing a seven-day notice to pay monies owed or have journalists picket in solidarity with their colleagues. KUJ Secretary General Eric Oduor says it is time for media practitioners to speak in unison as pertains to the working environment of journalists in the country.
