Sacred Mugumo Tree Immortalised in Monumental Sculpture in Kiambu

For centuries, the Mugumo tree has stood as one of the most sacred symbols of Kikuyu spirituality, a living shrine of prayer, ritual, and ancestral connection. That heritage was brought to life in Kiambu County, where the Gikuyu Cultural Association, Kiama Kia Ma, unveiled a monumental stone sculpture of a Mugumo tree in a ceremony steeped in tradition.
