The International World Condom Day was marked amid rising calls for a reduction in taxes to reduce the cost of the contraceptive credited for preventing sexual transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies. The celebrations in various parts of the country were characterized by pomp and color with red being the predominate color on the eve of valentine days.
