Bar owners in Kirinyaga County want the county government to rescind the order closing all bars. The over 600 bar owners from Mwea-East say they are suffering losses since they were forced to close. Governor Ann Waiguru ordered the closure of all bars pending a verification process for all licenses after 20 people were killed by a brew. The bar owners say they will abide by all laws and will be on the forefront in the war against illicit alcohol.
