A Kwale court has instructed a Swiss national to pay a KSh. 500,000 bond or a Ksh 250,000 cash bail to secure his release, after pleading not guilty to the theft of Ksh 1.4 million.
The pronouncement was made by resident magistrate Ruth Ogola, despite the prosecution requesting that the suspect, identified as Peter Rolf Fluri, be denied bond, arguing that being a tourist, the suspect is a flight risk. The case will be heard on the 14th of October 2025.
