Junior Secondary School (JSS) teachers in Marsabit County have decried poor working conditions that have made it hard for them to deliver effectively, making the Competency Based Education dream remain out of reach for learners in Kenya’s arid north. The teachers, led by Marsabit County, Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers Executive Secretary Sera Galgallo, cited stalled promotions, poor infrastructure, and inadequate teaching tools. They are appealing for affirmative action from the government.
