CS Kindiki: We can now produce 10,000 passports in 24 hours

The government has put in place measures to expedite the collection of the final batch of 45,000 passports which are now ready, and which constitute the last batch of the over 700,000 passports whose production was delayed. interior cabinet secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki now says Kenya can produce over 10,000 passports in 24 hours which translates to double the daily demand of about 5,000 passports. This is attributed to the acquisition of two new printers, which can produce 300 passports an hour, each.
