A section of leaders in Kilifi county led by The Gender,Culture and National Heritage Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa have opposed the nuclear power project that is expected to be built in the Uyombo, Kilifi North sub-county. The leaders claim that the project which is implemented by the Nuclear Power and Energy Agency (NuPEA) is of a great risk to human health and the environment, explaining that it will adversely affect local community members
