    The Intergovernmental Authority on Development is seeking for better market structure and trade tariffs among its member states and healthy agricultural interventions to help fight hunger. The Agrifood investment plan aims to turn the Kampala agreement into reality to boost food production. Speaking in Mombasa during an IGAD's regional preparatory meeting for Agrifood System Investment plan for 2026-2035 Sylvia Henga, Policy and food security expert, called on member states to not only invest more in agriculture but track how the investment improves the sector by creating food security.
