But over several months normalcy has returned to the region, especially Wajir County, thanks to conflict resolution efforts by community leaders. Bisharo Women's Group is one such group at the forefront in preaching peace. A dedicated group of women from various clans gathers with a shared mission: to safeguard their Somali heritage, resolve conflicts, and weave social cohesion. Their efforts have forged a path of unity and peace among the diverse community.
