Kibera slums Going Green Organization, individuals feted

Kibera slums going green organization along with several other individuals have been awarded during the CFK community awards in Kibera today. The Carolina for Kibera Community Awards recognize those who have made a significant positive impact in the community. Among those who won the awards are James Okoth, who helped a drowning woman in Kibera, Andrew Otieno Odongo who completed school and went back to help the community and Millicent Nandoya a community health champion. CFK aims to help fight extreme poverty in African informal settlements through participatory research, primary health care and youth development.
