The government has been urged to channel more funding to research activities especially in areas touching on security threats such as terrorism, insurgencies and cybercrimes.Speaking during the opening of the 2024 African Borderlands Research Network conference at the Humanitarian Peace Support School in Embakasi, Vice Chief of Defense Forces Lieutenant General John Omenda says it is only through research that the country can come up with practicable solutions on how to handle emerging challenges in security particularly at the border points
