Digital literacy for teen mothers

More than 40 teenage mothers in Siaya County have benefited from a digital literacy training program aimed at empowering them to leverage on technology to improve their lives. The program dubbed “she deserves rights and skills” trained the women on content creation and how to use several digital tools. It was funded by the French embassy through Siaya Muungano network in collaboration with the African Women Economic Policy Network (AWEPON) and Stawisha Initiative. Speaking at the closure of the training, the Executive Director of Siaya Muungano Network, Shirleen Adhiambo Otieno said they intend to conduct such trainings at least twice every year so as to benefit more girls
