Governor Barasa dismisses claims of misuse of funds

Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa has dismissed claims of misuse of funds in the county terming them misleading.The governor who was responding to a report on the county’s extravagance which claims Ksh. 521 million was used in hospitality alone, said according to the county records only KSh 336.7million was spent by both the county executive and the county assembly in hospitality and the rest was spent in other utilities. He however acknowledged that the county’s vast administrative structure takes the lion's share of the county's budget. .;;
