At least 10 people are feared dead after a matatu collided with a personal car at the Solio Ranch gate along the Nyeri - Nyahururu road. The accident occurred at about 6.30pm this evening when a 14 seater matatu travelling to Nyeri from Nyahururu, collided with a private car headed in the opposite direction. A motorcycle was also crashed during the accident with the rider dying on the spot. The injured were taken to Mary Immaculate Hospital Mweiga, with others taken to Nyeri PGH hospital. Police in Nyeri are yet to confirm the number of those that have lost their lives . According to locals, the spot has been the scene of several accidents attributed to a large pothole on the road.
