13 people die, 3 others seriously injured in a road accident at Elementaita

13 people have been confirmed dead and three others seriously injured in a grisly road accident at Kariandusi Elementaita area along the Nakuru –Nairobi highway. The accident occurred at around midday after the driver of a 14-seater matatu tried to overtake another vehicle and rammed into an oncoming trailer head-on. Confirming the incident, Nakuru Police Boss Emmanuel Opuru said the matatu was heading towards Nakuru when it collided head-on with the trailer, killing 12 people on the spot as one died on the way to hospital.
