24-minute delay takes center stage in Albert Ojwang murder trial

Questions over why three police officers from Central Police Station delayed taking the late Albert Ojwang to hospital dominated the third day of the murder trial on Wednesday. An Independent Policing Oversight Authority forensic expert, Joshua Mutua, told the court that his analysis revealed a shocking 24-minute delay before officers finally wheeled Ojwang into the casualty department at Mbagathi Hospital. Ojwang was pronounced dead on arrival. Gatete Njoroge reports.
