5,000 sugar workers go on strike over KSh 10B salary arrears

Five thousand workers from across four sugar factories have begun their strike today, demanding the payment of pending salaries and accrued benefits totalling 10.8 billion shillings. The workers vowed to cripple operations across the factories accusing government of lacking goodwill in making the payments.
