Abagusii elders explain the importance of circumcision as a rite of passage

It is a norm among the Abagusii community that during this long December holiday, they perform their annual circumcision ceremony as a rite of passage. This ceremony is normally accompanied by traditional teachings from senior members of the community on how to cling to the Abagusii culture in addition to inculcating morals and values in the initiates. And as Chrispine Otieno now reports, the community elders now calling for more experienced elders to be the ones conducting the initiation ceremonies to avert cases of a botched circumcision.
