Accountants forum kicks off to push global standards into local solutions

Accountants are pushing for stronger standards in governance and corporate reporting as the International Federation of Accountants Connect Africa Forum opens in Nairobi. The forum co-hosted by the Pan African Federation of Accountants and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya, is designed to ensure international standards and best practices are applied to local solutions. Organizers say the forum provides a platform to strengthen trust in institutions, reinforce the role of professional accountancy organizations, and ensure Africa is well-positioned to meet the expectations of financial markets, investors, and its citizens.
