Gender rights activists in Migori County have urged the national and county government to enhance the justice system to help avert more cases of Gender-Based Violence in the country.
Speaking during a public participation forum in Migori county, Technical Working Group chairman James Mambi called for increased funding to community-based organisations that are at the forefront in preventing and responding to Gender-Based Violence and femicide at the grassroots levels. He further highlighted that these organizations lack adequate financial and research resources, limiting their effectiveness.
