The aviation sector in the country could be plunged into a major crisis following the declaration by the Kenya Aviation Workers Union, KAWU, that they will commence a nationwide strike on September 1st. Speaking in Nairobi on Saturday, KAWU secretary general Moss Ndiema said that their over 10 thousand members will down their tools to protest the alleged planned sale of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to Adani Airport Holdings Limited of India.
