Bandit attacks paralyse learning in five schools in Baringo

Five primary schools have been closed down in Baringo due to bandit attacks in the region in the past two weeks. The schools which include Kosile, Ngaturo, Kibenos, Kagir and Yatya Primary School have been closed due to a series of attacks in the area which has caused the death of two people including Kagir Primary School headteacher Thomas Kibet. The leaders in the area are calling upon the government to intervene saying that the situation is quickly escalating day by day. Eight people have been killed so far in the past year.
