In Kiyach village Baringo North Constituency, bandits donning national police reservists uniforms killed one person. And as the bandits sustained their wave of terror, Interior Cabinet Secretary Professor Kithure Kindiki announced that the government has established a high-level counter banditry land and air team L.A.T to address the banditry and cattle rustling menace affecting 10 counties. Prof. Kindiki while making public what he termed a public accountability statement for his 100 days in office revealed that they had put up a situation room at interior ministry headquarters that will be fed with information from drones and surveillance teams on the ground to aid officers pursuing the bandits.
