Residents of Kampi Turkana in Baringo South have called upon the government to address the alarming rise in child labour in the area, saying it has led to many children dropping out of school. The residents say parents have seemingly abandoned their and so children are now being exploited by farmers on tomato plantations. They further appealed to the government to construct a child rescue centre in the village to protect children exposed to such activities.
