Bodaboda rider dies after being hit by a PSV in Gitaru, Kikuyu

A boda boda rider in Gitaru, Kabete, Kiambu County,has lost his life on the spot after being hit by a public service vehicle near Gitaru, along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway. The incident saw an angry mob, alleged to be bodaboda riders, set the matatu on fire. According to eyewitnesses, the matatu was driving on the wrong side of the road before it collided with the bodaboda, killing the rider on the spot. The residents are now calling for the completion of the Gitaru interchange to eliminate the frequent traffic congestion, which they term a death trap.The body of the deceased was taken to Thogoto Hospital Mortuary while the wreckage of the vehicle was towed to King’eero Police Station.
