The National Assembly’s Budget and Appropriations Committee has made recommendations to amend the budget estimates of the national treasury, raising the expenditure bill for the national government to 2.54 trillion shillings. Part of those amendments is an increment of 150 million shillings earmarked for the directorate of criminal investigations, DCI, to procure and service a system with the potential to track social media users in the country.
