Busia county government is on the spot for failing to put in place measures to recover loans given to individuals and cooperative societies running into millions of shillings. The Senate County Public Investment Committee says it was shocked to learn some of the beneficiaries of the unsecured loans did not even provide Identification numbers to access the loans. Busia County Governor Paul Otuoma, however, insists the public monies will be recovered once the County Assembly passes the relevant law.
