'Car spinning in not just for gangsters' BBC Africa
BBC Sport Africa dives into the unique motorsport sub-culture of car spinning in South Africa. Originating during Apartheid as a way for criminals to showcase stolen cars and honour the deceased, spinning has evolved into an officially recognised sport by Motorsport South Africa. Unlike traditional motorsport, spinning is deeply rooted in working-class communities, making it a distinct and vibrant part of Southern African culture.
