The Council of Governors has resorted to instituting disciplinary action against doctors who are on strike. Citing harsh economic times, COG says if the national government caves into the calls for salary increments, then they will also need increased budgetary allocations to execute the mandate. The COG has further called out doctors claiming they receive salaries of upwards of up to ksh 400,000 monthly.
