Senior police officers deployed to quell the June 2024 anti-finance bill protests have refuted accusations that their officers are culpable in the fatal shooting of Rex Masai in the streets of Nairobi, during the murder inquest for the slain protester. This comes as another case of police killings in 2021, involving two brothers from Kianjokoma in Embu County, failed to proceed.
