CS Linturi inspects construction of Isiolo Slaughterhouse

Agriculture and livestock development Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi says construction of the Isiolo Slaughterhouse has made steady progress. Speaking during an inspection visit, CS Linturi, said that the facility is aimed at rejuvenating the beef, dairy and leather value chains and is a cornerstone that will serve as a game-changing meat hub, benefiting 6 surrounding counties. The slaughterhouse will source raw materials from region ensuring compliance with the market standards. Linturi added that the facility will ensure efficient livestock production by providing a controlled environment where livestock can be efficiently fed and managed to maximize growth rates.
