CS RUKU WARNS PUBLIC SERVANTS OVER LATE REPORTING AND POOR SERVICE DELIVERY IN GARISSA

Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku has criticised poor work ethic and delayed reporting among some public servants in Garissa following an impromptu inspection of regional government offices. The CS found several offices locked and wananchi waiting for services despite the official reporting time having passed. Ruku warned that disciplinary action would be taken against officers who fail to report to work on time or deliver quality services, stressing that public servants must uphold professionalism and accountability. He noted that the government had improved salaries and allowances for civil servants and expected better service delivery in return.
