A simmering power struggle is threatening to tear apart the Linda Mwananchi faction, with members increasingly rallying behind different political parties ahead of next year’s presidential race. The deepening divisions were laid bare by Embakasi East MP and Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Babu Owino, who revealed growing infighting within the faction as its members grapple with a key question: which political vehicle should carry them into the 2027 elections?
