At least eight people have lost their lives and over twenty others were injured after a devastating fire broke out early Saturday morning in the Makina area of Kibera slums, Nairobi County. The blaze, which swept through homes in the densely populated area, caused widespread destruction and left many families homeless and grieving.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene, and the injured have been taken to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment. The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to the City Mortuary. Residents are now grappling with the aftermath, as investigations into the cause of the fire continue.
