Drama ensued in Githunguri constituency after the area MP Gathoni Wamuchomba clashed with the former legislator Gabriel Kago, over the launch of the construction of a four-kilometre road in the constituency. Wamuchomba accused Kago of colluding with government officials to undermine her development record, while Kago insisted as a leader, he was at liberty to start development projects. Wamuchomba, who stormed the event, went ahead to launch the road, insisting it was her duty as the sitting legislator.
