DRC conflict: ‘Race against time’ to bury the dead - BBC Africa
Nearly 3,000 people are reported to have been killed in the conflict between M23 rebels and the army in the eastern DRC. Aid agencies say there is an urgent need to bury the dead because of overcrowded morgues and lack of refrigeration capacity due to damaged power lines. They say it’s part of a ‘public health nightmare’ unfolding in camps and communities.
