Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has recovered illegally acquired assets worth 3.4 billion shillings in the 2024/2025 financial year, up from Ksh 2.9 billion recovered in the previous year. While launching the annual report, EACC chairman David Oginde and Chief Executive Officer Abdi Mohamud, however, decried weak enforcement of chapter six of the constitution, threats and intimidation, and interference with witnesses are hindering the fight against graft. Counties and public corporations are among the entities being investigated for embezzlement of public coffers.
