The Ministry of Education has urged striking University Academic Staff Union and Kenya University Staff Union members to resume work as negotiations towards a lasting solution are ongoing. Speaking during the University of Nairobi’s 71st graduation ceremony, Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba said the government and the unions have reached a consensus on some of the grievances among them the 7-10% salary increment.
